New Shakti Temple in Bukit Rotan will be a reputable and prominent example of how a temple should be constructed and operated so that society in general and Hindus in particular would benefit from it.
Shakti Temple in Bukit Rotan is being constructed strictly in accordance with our ancient scriptures such as the Vedas, Agamas and Sirpa (architectural) Sastras. It will be recognised as an outstanding example of Hindu Sirpa Sastras (architectural scriptures). This temple will incorporate all the structures that constitute a proper Amman Temple according to our Agamas.
One of the pillars, if not the very backbone of Hinduism is, without doubt, the Hindu temple. Temples cannot and must not simply serve only as places of worship. They must also be centres for social and community development.
Project Shakti therefore proposes to construct temples in strict conformity with our sastras. Our first effort will be our own new Shakti Temple in Bukit Rotan. It will be a reputable and prominent example of how a temple should be constructed and operated so that society in general and Hindus in particular would benefit from it. We propose to establish the Shakti Temple as a model temple that will cater for and perform these functions. Under this Maarga, Project Shakti will offer consultancy services to any Hindu organisation requiring advice on temple construction and renovation.
